How to
We use tuna in water for this recipe. If you have the one with oil, make sure to remove excess oil. Drain the tuna so it doesn’t contain liquid.
In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine tuna with egg. Add in Parmesan cheese, mustard and almond flour.
Stir with a fork to mix everything. Add in seasoning – white onion powder, salt, smoked paprika, and oregano.
Stir again, and your tuna dough is ready for frying.
Heat one tbsp of coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
The recipe makes six cakes. So, if it’s easier for you, divide the dough into six parts, then fry each of them.
Fry cakes until golden. Make sure both sides of the cakes are fried.
Serve them with mayo or hot sauce and enjoy lunch!
Keto Tuna Patties
Ingredients
- 4 oz tuna can, in water, drain liquid
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- ½ cup almond flour
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tsp onion powder white
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp oregano
- Salt to taste
For Frying
- 1 tbsp coconut oil for frying
Instructions
- Drain tuna to make sure it doesn't contain any liquid. In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir with a fork until the dough is easy to form 6 patties.
- In a frying pan over medium heat, add coconut oil or olive oil in. Fry each patty until golden.
- Your lunch is ready to serve with lettuce and mayonnaise.
