This crunchy chocolate cookie with vanilla cream, we all know them as Oreos. It is really hard to say no to this lovely treat, but we decided to help you say yes and still enjoy the Oreo flavor.
Keto Oreos are without sugar or white flour. Instead, they contain three main ingredients: cocoa powder, almond flour, and cream cheese.
You can use almond flour or ground almonds if you want. We know that they are rich in vitamins and minerals, and so you need them in your diet! They have a high dosage of vitamin E that can help you with your skin and lower cholesterol. Almonds are also recommended if you have to manage blood sugar level thanks to the magnesium they contain. Another ingredient we want to mention is cocoa powder. Some evidence shows its potential beneficial cardiovascular effect as it is rich in polyphenols. (4)
Like almonds, it can improve insulin function and help with diabetes. (5) It tastes like chocolate when it’s combined with melted coconut oil and sweetener. Use it for drizzling cookies or cakes!
And the last one is cream cheese. With cream cheese, you can make a spread for your desserts. You don’t need it cold, so we recommend you to leave it on a counter for a while. Also, use full-fat cream cheese for better flavor! Mix it vanilla and your cream for Keto Oreo is ready!
This recipe is easy to make with ingredients that are easy to find! The best part is you can experiment with many ingredients and find those you like the most. We use powdered sweetener as sugar substitution, but you can also use liquid one.
Instead of almonds, you can use other nut flour or ground nuts. If you don’t have gluten-free baking powder, use baking soda or cream of tartar. When it comes to oil, choose the one you have in your kitchen.

How to
In a large bowl combine all of the dry ingredients: ground almonds or almond flour, cocoa powder, powdered sweetener, and gluten-free baking powder. Add in egg and melted coconut oil. You don’t need an electric mixer.
Just stir with a fork until everything is well combined. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it in the refrigerator for at least one hour. It’s better if you can wait for 2 hours, but one hour is still fine.
Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer. Add in powdered sweetener and vanilla. Beat again. You can add more or less sweetener depending on your sweet tooth.
Preheat the oven to 350° and dust a surface with cocoa powder. Roll out dough and cut out cookies with a cookie cutter. We got 12 Keto Oreo cookies.
Place cookies on a parchment paper and bake for 10 minutes. Be careful with baking. They can burn easily and you won’t be able to see because of their dark color.
Wait for cookies to completely cool and then add the vanilla filling on one side of the cookie. Cover the filling with one more cookie. Enjoy!

Ingredients
For cookies:
- 2/3 cup almond flour
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 cup erythritol powdered
- 1/3 cup coconut oil melted
Vanilla filling:
- 1/3 cup cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup erythritol powdered
Instructions
- Combine all dry ingredients for cookies: cocoa powder, powdered erythritol, and almond flour. Add in egg and oil and stir. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour.
- Beat cream cheese with vanilla and sweetener with an electric mixer.
- Preheat the oven to 350° and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Add more cocoa powder on a clean surface and roll the dough. Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough.
- Add vanilla filling on one side of a cookie and place the second one on top.
